unsolved leg pains for 16 years

by Melbeeaz, Jun 10, 2008 12:02PM
Help! I'm at my wits end. Im 27 and I have been dealing with leg pain for the last 16 years. When it first started (the age I first remember,11 ) I took a short walk it went away. Now nothing I do works anymore. long/short walks, stretching, resting, hot bath/jacuzzi no longer works. No doctor will prescribe pain killers (which is only thing that provided temp relief) them to me because they dont believe me. If it doesnt show up on a test then it must not exist and I am making it up to get pain meds. I've had x-rays, mri's, some neurological test. The pain is behind the knees and the part where the leg bends at the hips. No other pain in the rest of my body. I've changed exercise routine to mild to moderate otherwise it will be worse. I've changed my diet. Diet has no effect. It controls my life. Im afraid im going to lose my job again. Resting does not help. Once the pain subsides to a tolerable level I will sleep for days at a time. No reflex in my knees if that means anything. One doctor diagnosed me with fibromyalgia because he couldnt figure it out. I know it's not fibro. I dont fit the symptoms. What 11 year old has fibro? yeah right.
I feel like I'm alone. I hope I'm not or I dont know what I will do. Ive broken bones before and on a scale of 1-10 breaking a bone is a 2 compared to this leg pain which averages an 8.
Please someone help please

Hi,sorry to know it
You still need to concentrate your lower back area.it possibly have soft tissue injury due to very chronic inflammation which you have had for 16 years.X-ray,MRI can't tell this problem.
This injury can lead to conductible hip and knee pain.

Deep and intensive needles can help. not general acupuncture.
Good luck!

Hello.  Thank you for the info.  For the last six months I have been sleeping on my back with a pillow underneath my knees and the pain has been gone since.  I don't really know why it works, but it does.
