upper left quadrant pain

My  now 17 yr old daughter had a soccer collision in Sep 2005 and has since been in constant pain.  She has been through xrays, ultrasound, cat scans, MRI and blood work and they could find no cause.  They think she tore the muscle and cartilage under her rib cage and that the nerves never healed.  She describes the pain at its worst like someone stabbing her over and over.  Occasionally she finds it hard to breath when the pain is at its worst and no position is comfortable.  It sometimes radiates to the back, but the worst and most constant is right under her ribcage on the left side.  She has also seen physio, chiropracter, massage and accupunture.  The pain can sometimes be so that she can hardly notice and other times incapacitates her.  She has not slept 8 hours in a row since the accident.  Her left hip goes out of joint as well and the physio did find some discs out in her back that are fine now.  She can't run or do many physical activities because the pain is worse when she does and she was a very athletic girl.  Nothing they have given her for pain relief has worked.  We have taken her to many doctors, but seem to be getting nowhere.  Sometimes I don't think they really believe how bad the pain is as she is not a whiner.  Any suggestion?
