Hello,

Varicose veins are veins that have become enlarged and twisted. The term commonly refers to the superficial veins on the leg, although varicose veins occur elsewhere.smptoms include tortuous, dilated veins , aching, heavy legs, redness, dryness, and itchiness of areas of skin and ankle swelling.

It is true that varicose veins occur more commonly in elderly women but it can occur in men also.

Treatment of varicose veins include conservative treatment and interventional treatment.Conservative treatment includes leg elevation while sleeping, wearing compression stockings and anti-inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen or aspirin.Interventional treatment includes sclerotherapy, laser ablation and surgery.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.
