I have a lot of visible blue veins on my forearms and eyelids. I can also see some on my legs, feet, and chest. I am a 16 year old female and by no means have fair skin. I'm not sure if this is something that I should get checked or if its no big deal.
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Bulging or visible veins can be just an anatomical variation—which means you are just made that way. They can also be due to peripheral vascular disease, faulty deep veins valves and high blood pressure. Kidney function tests should also be done. A duplex ultrasound of the vein will need to be carried out. You can gently massage the vein in upward direction, towards your shoulder, 2-3 times a day and see if it helps. Flexing your fingers and relaxing them a few times will also help. If the bulging vein does not disappear then consult a doctor.
Since I cannot examine you and know other related conditions you may be having, nor is a detailed history possible on net, I have listed the various possibilities that should be looked into. Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral.
