Silly question....why would you want a kidney infection to begin with? Or do you mean a urinary tract infection? A urinary tract infection (UTI) can start in the bladder and work its way up to your kidneys. Symptoms would be blood in the urine, fever, pain in the flank regions, difficult urination, kidney shutdown ...and eventual death.
If its a simple UTI, you might have burning painful urination or even blood in the urine, low grade fever, tiredness. You don't want this to go to far. Go see a doctor and get the proper antibiotic. (most of these are generic medications and inexpensive) In the meantime, drink plenty of fluids -and I don't mean beer or coffee. Cranberry juice or capsules may act as a UTI preventative next time around.
