what can cause ower right side pain?

i have been having sharp pain in my right lower stomach close to pelvic area. the pain is felt from the front. i have had ultrasounds done and a dye test and sevral blood test done and all came back normal. i have had two c-cections, two living children and in the past year and a half have had two miscarages and one d and c. the pain is there all the time and sometimes worse than other times. the pain is felt in a specific location and feels like it is my overie.i just found a new doctor and he mentions having a laposcopy done.most of the time i do have period like cramps but the pain on the side is diffrent and feels like someone is squeezing it. i do not have cyst and this had been confermed my u/s. i also have been having very sore breast and no i am not pregnant(doctor tested me last week via blood). i am not on any form of b/c . i am awaiting to go back and wondering if anyone else has had same problem or know what it might could be or what i should ask for. ( please note.. the pain is all the time and breast are sore all the time not just around that time) the pain would come and go at wierd times but has been constant for the past 2 months. i also posted a question about a wierd period a few weeks ago .

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
Endometriosis, ovarian cysts or uterine fibroids should definitely be looked for. A CT scan should be able to capture all. Adhesions in the abdomen caused by previous C-Sections can also cause pain in the lower right abdomen. A laproscopy can help diagnose this.

It can be a cause not related to your uterus and ovary. It could be a case of irritable bowel syndrome. Breast tenderness can be due to fibroadenosis.

Please discuss this with your doctor. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Have they checked you for hernias?  Maybe my 2-cent thought is worthless, but I had lower right side pain for the longest time, thinking it was cramps (because sometimes it would switch sides).  Finally, they checked me for hernias, and sure enough, I had 2 inguinal hernias (one of each side).  Not super-serious but painful anyway.

thanks so much, thats kinda what i figure it is. my sister had it really bad and had to have a hyterectomy( sorry if spellings wrong) when she was 30. do you have endometriosis?

Cindy,

As you also have clots during periods, this may most probably turn out to be endometriosis.

Hi Cindy,

Sometimes the tissues lining the inner wall of the uterus may be lodged outside it and may cause pains like the one you describe, called endometriosis. If appendicitis, ovarian cysts, ectopic pregnancy have been ruled out, you may want to be checked for this. Laparoscopy is done for this purpose.

Hope this is helpful. Please get back to us with feedback after your laoaroscopy.

Best wishes
