what can this be??

My boyfriend has had a rash on his chest for almost a week now. It itches but not often and he says it hurts when he rubs or scratches it. It was first a small area with bumps and now it is starting to spread further down and around to his back. Now he has a fever, very painful headache and cannot keep anything down. Whenever he vomits it is a yellow liquid that comes out. He wants to go to the ER but hes soo weak and now Im starting to worry b/c ive never seen anything like this. I was thinking th rash and his fever were connected but again im not too sure.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Since there is rash and fever it can he herpes or shingles, EBV or mono, CMV or cytomegalovirus, staphylococcal skin infection, HIV, gonorrhea, syphilis, or Lyme’s disease. It can also be chicken pox and measles but appears to be less likely. Please take him to a doctor for diagnosis and treatment. Meanwhile, given him small frequent meals and plenty of fluids. Take care!

It could be a large number of things, he needs to go to the ER immediately.  If he cannot get there himself and you cannot take him, you need to call for an ambulance or someone to get him there right away.
