what is REALLY going on?

I am 32 and have had 3 children. I have had chronic pain on my lower abdomen(pelvic) area for almost 2 years now. I have gone to a few specialists and keep on getting conflicting answers. one says that i have PCOD, while another says that I do not. I have had ultrasounds, bloodwork, and have even tried birth control pills to help. Even though I have had my tubes tied. I finally had a laporoscopy done. They found that a section of my bowel had adheered to the inside of my abdomen, where I had a C-Section scar. The pain is back again and is getting worse than before. it hurts all the way into my back. Rest does not make it better. Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful. Before the laporoscopy was done the Dr.'s told me that they thought it was possibly all in my mind. I am not a crazy persobn looking for any sympathy or drugs, just some relief.....

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
In all probability the adherence has come back. There are either fresh adhesions or old ones have recurred. It is a difficult situation to be in as adhesions tend to recur again and again even after cutting them. Pelvic inflammatory disease is often though to be the cause behind this and needs to be treated. Endometriosis too is a frequent cause of adhesions. Please discuss these possibilities with your doctor. Hope this helps. Take care!
