I notice you are 46. Welcome to the peri-menopausal nightmare. Most of my friends are experiencing the same thing. I personally had bleeding for 5 months without stopping. Very heavy. They tried everything. And every masochistic test that was ever invented.
In the end and a whole year later I got the Mirena IUD. It took another 6 months but now life is good. Hope all works out for you.

Hi Lisa
Ok, now it is clear that you are bleeding from vagina. This could be due to hormonal imbalance of menopause. A prolonged bleeding of any kind from the vagina can be due to a sore or ulcer, endometritis or infection of endometrium of uterus, cervicitis or infection of cervix, fibroids, vaginal infections, vaginal polyp, endometriosis and cancer of either cervix, uterus or ovary. You would need to get some investigations done including hormone analysis, PAP smear, ultrasound and maybe CT scan of pelvis. I am sorry, but without investigation it is difficult to say what it is. Take care!
