hey guys, i've been having this problem for abt a month now, well i recently got married so me partner changed.well before we engaged in this relationship we took multiple HIV test and the results were negative.now abt the fourth time we had sex i had severe pain & burning the week after i noticed some small boils & that turned into sores, i visited the doctor & he said its herpes, he perscribed some acyclovir tablets and that cleared up. but what i realise lately everytime i have sex i get terriable bruise & severe itching as well as severe swelling of the vulva. it really got me worried, i tought it was yeast infection but no clotrimazole of anything isnt helping i dont knw what to do & i knw its not a reccurrance of herpes cause there is no sore boil or anything of that sort, just the bruises, itching, and severe swelling of the vulva after sex. anyone out there if you can render help in anyway ill be greatful.....

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Rough sex and dry vaginal (decrease foreplay or medical causes) can cause bruising and pain. There are many problems that cause vaginal dryness such as hypothyroidism, Sjogren’s syndrome, vaginitis or inflammation of vagina, dermatitis of skin around vagina, condom allergy, or allergy to soaps and lotions. Menopause and low estrogen is another cause. Please consult your gynecologist to rule these out one by one.
Take care!

Well i had a similar case to your's,when i visited my doctor she told me to go an take a some std's test but i never went cause if it was an std it would of spread by now.I visited her again an she gave me vaginal pills to insert an she gave me one to take only for one day and it helped, just keep your vagina clean bathe 2-3 times a day.Go visit your doctor again and explain every thing so that they can help the best way they know how.
