Ankle spots

My question concerns my ankle area and behind my toes, for a good year or so I have been getting these strange spots on the inside of my ankles.Then today after playing outside with the kids my wife noticed that the outsides of my ankles looked bruised after futher inspection she had noticed that they looked like the inside of my ankles but with alot more spots, it doesn't hurt at all but my wife and I are starting to get very concerned and I'm not sure if I should go to the doctor or not. Please help to bring some closure to this issue. Attached are some photos. Thanks for your help.

I have brown spots on my shins and inside of my ankles. They start out in little light brown spots. After some time, the spots grow bigger and become darker. The spots do not itch or hurt when they appear.

I think I have had the same thing for about seven years.  My spots get dark -like a bad bruise and almost so light they are un-noticeable, but have never completely disappeared since they originated.  They used to hurt like I had spilled chemicals on my skin.  They NEVER get scaley or ***** or itchy.  When my spots are "acting-up" those areas that are affected don't tollerate heat well, especially from the hot sun, fireplace, or any other kind of intense heat (even in the car in the winter).  My spots are on my ankles (both inside and outside) and on the tops of my feet all the way to the first joint of my toes.  They are almost always in a circular shape.  They look like they should hurt-they don't.  HOWEVER, if I bump my ackle(s) on something hard, it REALLY aches more than it should.  I saw my general Dr for this, he thought it might have been some kind of strep, he treated me with anti-biotics.  However, the spots did seem to lighten and be less sensative, it didn't "Cure" them.  This was very early on.  When I went back, my Dr. thought (since the anti-biotic treatment didn't cure it) that I may have an allergy that settled in my legs and feet.  He said just like some people get drippy noses, itchy-eyes, poison-ivy/oak/etc. an allergic reaction can settle just about anywhere in the body, although less common than the traditional allergic reactions.  He referred me to a skin speciallist who said it was "age spots" (I was 29 at the time).  These are deffinately NOT age-spots--see below about my 10 year old.  I have noticed (I am a farm girl that has always been very hard-working and very ambitious) that I am completely fatigued when the spots get dark.  Aches and pains that I would normally work through, are too overwhelming to work through.  I do not tollerate chemicals (cleaning or in food) very well.  I don't get "sick", I just don't feel well when using them or after consuming foods with many chemicals/preservatives, etc.  

This is also something I am concerned about, my daughter (10 years old) now seems to have the same thing.  She has had it for about six-eight months now.  Hers doesn't seem to bother her at all, just looks painful and gets lighter and darker for what seems like no good reason.  She does seem to get more tired more quickly than before though.  I have gotten a referral to a skin specialist for her and will be taking her in in the next few weeks (8.22.2007) and hope to get some answers for her.

I would love to hear from anyone that might have what seems to be the same thing.  Any ideas what might be the cause or cure?  This is the FIRST artical I have ever found on the internet that sounds like the same thing as I have.  Most refer to strep and other skin conditions that involve "puss" (yuck!) and scales or very dry itchy skin.  This is not the same.
