Green Stools and Abdominal Pains

I have been having green loose and hard stools for about 6 months. I have had IBS for 6 + years, but never anything like this. My abdominal pains are getting worse especially tonight. I would like to get an opinion before I go to the doctor and embarass myself and have to do the stool sample and wait. I know that generally green stool over a couple of days can be an infection, but over a period of 6 months? My family has a long history of Gaulbladder problems and removals. Can anyone help?

Six months is a pretty long period of time to suffer with something like this.  It sounds like an evaluation is clearly in order.
