I had a
cardiacCardiac catheterization
Cardiac tamponade
Left heart ventricular angiography catherization 10 days ago and my doctor used the Perclose Procedure (stitches) to close the
femoralChondromalacia patella
Deep venous thrombosis, iliofemoral
Femoral hernia
Femoral nerve damage
Femoral nerve dysfunction artery access site. This is my 3rd catherization in approx. 19 months: one resulted in a
stentAbdomen - swollen
Brain herniation
Chronic persistent hepatitis
Coronary artery stent
Hyperemesis gravidarum
Lyme disease - chronic persistent
Stent placement in LAD and only
angioplastyAngioplasty
Coronary artery balloon angioplasty - series in a med branch off the LAD; the second catherization resulted in
angioplastyAngioplasty
Coronary artery balloon angioplasty - series again to the branch off the LAD which had previously been opened; this last time no
blockagesPeripheral artery disease. After the first two procedures the femoral artery was closed by pressure. I healed well and had minimal soreness.
This time the site looks great, however, I have pain in the area of the incision so bad that I am unable to put all my weight on my right leg and it is painful to try to lift the leg with no assistance. At first I thought this might be soreness from scar tissue and stitches and now it is getting worse. Should I be concerned? What could possibly be wrong? Should I call my cardiologist office tomorrow?
Please advise, my instincts say that this is definately not normal.
Thank you!
