Sore throat

The last couple of days, I have awaken with throat irritation.  I breath through my mouth at night and have fall allergies, which mostly present themselves as fluid in my ears.  This morning, the throat pain is very bad, although only on the left side, and I also feel it in my left ear.  There is no pus and I don't have a fever or chills; in fact, I feel fine, otherwise.  I don't have insurance, so I really can't go to the doctor unless I absolutely must.  What do you think?  Thanks so very much.

It sounds like post nasal drip which does cause irritation to the throat especially during the night if you're a mouth-breather at night.  There are quite a number of 'natural cures' for post nasal drip check it out on the internet.
