Would a CT scan of the sinuses tell if there is an infection of the sinues?
If there isn't any congestion, cough,no drainage, recent cold,or runny nose, can an infection  still be present?

If the only symptoms presenting  are low grade fever ( 99.2-99.6), moderate to severe rt sided cheek/face, pressure/pulling,some slight postn nasal drip and ear pain/fullness, can it still be an infection?

Can this be a cause for lightheadness/feeling like one is on a boat?

If a steroid course decreased these symptoms, almost completely, does that still mean there could be an infection, or is it possible that it is only inflammation?
If so, what are possible causes of the inflammation, and if an infection is not present, can this be treated with an antihistamnie/or steroid.

Thank you for your time.
