Urinalysis

Dear Doctor,

I recently have 2 urinalysis in gap of 20 days.

Result of 1st test -  (Just FYI - I was going through hypertension)

RBC - 10 to 15/HPF
Blood Test - +ve
Few Bacteria
Protein Traced
Ph - 7.5
Everything else was nil.

Result of 2nd test - (after 15/20 days, had lot of water earlier night)

Colour - Pale Yellow
PH - 5.5
Sprcific Gravity - 1020
Blood Test - +ve
Pus Cells - 2-3/hpf
Epithelial cells - 1-2/hpf
Red blood cells - 8-10/hpf
Everything else was nil.

I started having lot of water recently and hence frequent urination.

Doctor did not considered it as UTI and just prescribed me Cital Syrup (2 teaspoon 2 times a day)

Just fyi - My Creatinine level throught serum test is 1. I did it 2 times both times its 1.

Please advice what you think about my case.

Thanks in advance.
Best regards,

Hi,
How are you? What are the symptoms present? Aside from hypertension, do you have other co-morbid conditions? Normal creatinine result is 0.7 to 1.3 mg/dL for men and 0.6 to 1.1 mg/dL for women. Based from your results, there seems to be an increased blood in your urine or hematuria and it is important that you have this checked also by your doctor for proper evaluation. Hematuria may be caused by a variety of issues suchas vigorous exercise, sexual activity, viral illness, trauma, infection, or from more serious conditions such as inflammation of the kidney, urethra, bladder, or prostate; cancer; polycystic kidney disease;blood clotting disorders; or sickle cell disease. Take care and do keep us posted.
