how long does it take for the uti to go away and how can you cure it

Hello,
The time needed for UTI to be cured depends on many factors like severity of the urinary tract infection, the age of the patient, and the patient's medical background. Any urinary tract infection should be treated at the earliest. Otherwise it will spread to the kidneys and then onto the blood stream, where it can be fatal. Drinking plenty of water and taking antibiotics depending on the culture sensitivity report may help. On an average the symptoms may take 3-5 days to go while for complete cure it depends on the bacterial load of the urine. I do hope it helps.
Take care and regards!
