Bleeding following Rectocele/Cystocele repair

I had a Rectocele/Cystocele repair 12 days ago (no mesh) and initialy had just a pinkish discharge. Yesterday, I started to have bright red light bleeding which today became like a heavy period for a couple of hours. (I had Hysterectomy years ago so not a period) The flow has now reduced again to a light period. I have been resting and have no other symptoms. Is this normal?
For the first 4/5 days I spent quite a bit of time on the loo as stool softener caused bad cramps then loose BM but everything fine and regular in that department now.

Some spotting is normal with healing .  Bleeding like a period is not. I would suggest you see your doctor for examination.
