Did surgery cause hemoroids?

I had surgery for a rectocele an introcele and a uretha sling, all through the vagina.  Why did I get horrible hemoroids shortly after the surgery.  I drank lots of water afterwards.  Is it the change  in bowl structure or does the epesomoty cause it?

It is more likely the recovery may have contribute to your hemoroids.  Surgery, Medications, Blood Loss all can lead to constipation which will increase problems with hemoroids.  Basically anything that cause you to strain could cause hemorroids.  Over correction of a rectocele repair could cause difficult defication and result in hemorroids.

Do I have to have surgery to get rid of them.  I use a soothing cream (allergic to hemoroid cream) after each bm and suppositories at night when they get worse.  /surgery was Jan 2,11 and they started 2-3 weeks later when I had a couple of days of harder stool and have had them ever since.  Right after surgery there was a 1/4" piece of skin or tag on the inner edge of rectum.  I still don't know what that is all about.  One Dr. said it was hemoroids but I didn't have it before and it doesn't go away when they are not bothering me.
