Pain and Problems with urinating.....occured suddenlu

Hi-
I havent ever had a problem like this before. Last night I had a lot of water to drink maybe a couple hours before going to bed and I found it odd that I didnt have to pee before going to bed. It felt like I had to but when I went to go, nothing came out. This morning I woke with the urge to pee a great amount and very little came out. All day I have been going to the bathroom a couple times an hour feeling like I have to go very badly, but nothing or very little pee comes out. Further more, i experience a burning, stinging pain with the pee that does come out. I only had one yeast infection in my life and that was last year. There is no discharge with my symptoms as well. My question is how long should I wait before going to a doctor? I heard not being able to pee can be dangerous?? and should I go to a GP or a gynocologist, because I dont have a urologist. Do my symptoms match those of someone with a UTI?

Thanks

This sounnds like a bladder infection (Cystitis or UTI). Makes sense to get evaluated ASAP, so you can get treated and some relief.

If you are sexually active, there is also a small chance that it could be a, STD causing this, so please get evaluated without delay.

yes, that sounds like UTI. I have had those same symptoms and it ended up being a UTI. Go see you doctor and they can give you some antibiotics
