Get a urine culture, from a clean urine catch. if it is positive for bacterial growth, get treated with antibiotics. Your doctor may also do a urine dipstick test in the office. This may indicate the presence of lots of white cells or nitrites, which can be an early test for bladder infection. Your doctor would be wise to treat you with antibiotics if the dipstick test suggests a bladder infection.
