I am 46, I have not had a period for about 6 months. I noticed that after I pee I have blood when I wipe and nothing thereafter. I don't have any pain is this something that I should see a Dr. About?? Thank you in advance
It is difficult to know what is happening without seeing your Dr. I would make an appointment straight away and take a urine sample along if you are not sure where the blood is coming from. Make sure you know the date of your last period as your Dr will want to know this.
Do you have any other symptoms?
I am post menapause and I was told that is not unusual to have spotting of blood. This might be what your experiencing especially since you have no pain. This symptom also could be a sign of a urinary tract infection. I recommend a visit to your gynecologist to rule out anything more serious. Good luck!
I just finished reading your post. You say you haven't had a period in
six months. Did you been have regular periods up to that point ?
Any blood that you're not sure the source of, should be mentioned to
your family doctor. Your gp may give you a referral to a gynocologist.
You probably know this but to be considered as menopausal, you would
not have had any periods for a year. You're only 46 years old. However,
some women reach menopause sooner than other women. Good luck
finding out what's going on. Eve :)
