Since having my c-section with my 4 year old son i have had severe pain with intercourse.. My doctor has done laparoscopy and removed my  right overy due to a suspicious looking tumor which was not cancerous. my periods since this have been real bad even causing me to miss days of work..but the biggest thing is the pain has become so bad that sexual intercourse is almost non existant maybe 2 times a month on a good month..this has effected my relationship a great deal..please help..i am not sure what else to do...oh yeah my gynocoligist had me on percocets for the pain but i flushed them when i noticed i was taking more then the recommended dose cause i felt i would rather deal with the pain then be addicted now i have asked him if there is any non-narcotic pain medicine to take but he says there isn't anything else..

This sounds like painful trigger points in the pelvic floor muscles. Locate a qualified pelvic floor physical therapist. One who does myofascial release, not the "kegel only" kind. THey may be able to diagnose your pelvic muscle trigger points, and cure them with manual release techniques. I assume you have had the workup including negative pregnancy test, negative cervical cultures, negative urine culture, and no pelvic masses.

PLease let us know how this turns out.

My cervical culture was abnormal so they took a biopsy which showed pre-cancerous cells.. I don't remember what they called it but they did something which froze the cells I guess..It is concerning especially where I have undergone treatment for cervical cancer in the past but that was when I was 16.. Is it possible that the cancer has come back in a different location causing the pain with intercourse?
