My surgery was done in July 2008 and now after 6 BCG and check-up in Bladder, i was told that my Cancer has come back. So does that mean BCg did not work or some Cancer cells were left. I was also told may be I have to remove my Bladder, which I do not find comfortable. what will be the side effects after removing this bladder. Will my
other organsOrgan-1 nr will be removed
It would be best to discuss your concerns with the doctor. The BCG is usually given after removing the cancer. So this means that all of it was removed (of course an argument can be made as to the definition of all. We can only say all for what can be picked up by testing. There will never be a guarantee that everything can be removed). There is some controversy as to the degree of protection it actually confers. If the position of the cancer is in a place where only a part of the bladder need be removed, you could discuss about conservative surgery. Stay positive.
