Fingerlike protrusions in the bladder
My wife had a scope of her bladder today.  The physician told her she had a finger-like protrusion inside her bladder and has scheduled a biopsy.  He did not tell her it was malignant.  She has researched this on the internet and is fearfull it may be cancer.  Are there other conditions besides cancer that might cause such protrusions?

Hi,

The biopsy is indeed a reasonable step to take. The ciritical issue for diseases in the bladder would be the depth of invasion, not really the projections. Majority of cases fortunately are superficial, so usually there is a good chance of disease control. Stay positive.
