Repeated UTI

I am a 44 years old female. I have had a cyst on an ovary that popped around 2-3 years ago. I have since had frequent urinary tract infections. Every time with UTI, I feel tightness in abdomen, frequent urges to void, and difficulty standing and voiding. My mother and grandmother had also had UTI before, not frequently though. My grandma however had urinated blood before. Last visit to doctor for UTI told me that I had a bladder infection. My questions are:
1. Could repeated UTI a sign of bladder cancer? Kidney cancer? Other urological cancers?
2. Could repeated UTI move up the line and damage my kidneys next?
3. I have had chronic back pain. My right leg and right abdomen had been hurting dully and constantly for years now (5-7 years) and recently has become more severe in the past 6 month. I have to massage my leg everyday/ What could be the cause of this and is it related to repeated UTI? Cancer?

Thank you very much.

Urinary frequency and urgency can be seen in some forms of bladder cancer, and these are also the symptoms seen in UTIs. If these symptoms are recurrent, and UTIs have been ruled out, a sonogram followed by a cystoscopy maybe indicated.

repeated UTIs could damage the kidney if asscoiated with veisco-ureteral reflux (VUR). In the absence of reflux, urinary infections can damage kidneys if associated with either an obstruction, or due to recurrent infection involving the kidney (pyelonephritis)

There are many causes of back pain and leg pain, and you should get it evaluated (rule out local spinal/ musculoskeletal problems) before considering it as 'related to UTI'
