Testicle pain
Testicle ultrasound is due to fluid collection in it- a condition called hydrocele. Hyodroceles are benign conditions and may need surgery if they are large or causing discomfort. Hydroceles, beacuse of the fluid in them feel different from tumors; tumors are usually solid and feel harder.
Rarely underlying testicular tumors may be associated with hydroceles-if the hydrocele is lax, it is possible to feel the tumor through it. However if the hydrocele is tense and the index of suspicion is high, a sonogram will need to be done.
A physical examination, and sonogram will confirm the findings. If you feel the 'enlargement' has been rapid, there is pain or fever, or the swelling has a very solid feel you should go in before you regular appointment at 6-8 weeks
