Any hope other than implant?

by HindSite, Oct 05, 2005 12:00AM
My problem seems to be rather unique because after reading countless forums I have not come across anything remotely similar.

I discovered at a very early age that if I put a lot of pressure on my flaccid penis, like for example pressing my groin onto a hard floor, I can achieve a very nice feeling after a few minutes. The feeling is the same as that of climax but with no ejaculation initially of course. I began doing this when I was probably less than five years-old and continue doing this pretty much daily until my teenage years. When I reached puberty, I was able to reach climax and actually ejaculate without having an erection by using this method.

I am in my twenties now and because of this horrible childhood habit, I suffer from very weak erections. I attribute this logically to tissue damage from all those years of heavy pressure on my penis. When I have an erection, Most of my penis is actually hard enough for penetration. However the girth shrinks when it reaches close to my scrotum area and it is much thinner and softer from that point on into my pubic/groin region. Therefore even though I am able to penetrate, intercourse is not satisfactory for my partner since the weak base of my penis makes it too bendable resulting in diminished friction.

Is penile implant the only solution for me at this point? I assumed that all the trauma has caused irreversible tissue death.

I would appreciate any comments.    –H.S

You can consider tests to evaluate the penile vasculature.  An ultrasound can be considered for this.  The ultrasound can also evaluate for any muscle atrophy or damage that may be leading to your symptoms.

If there is vascular compromise, this may be able to be repaired by a urologist.  The same can be said if there is any muscular damage.

However, if this is not the case, a penile implant can be considered.

I would discuss your case with a urologist to explore your options.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
