BXO

so I noticed white patches, small purple dots around the head of my penis, and wrinkles on head of of penis about 3 years ago.  I am a 44 year old and circumsized.  My doctor took a skin sample and the lab said it was consistent with lichen sclerosus.  He told me then there really wasn't much we could do and not to worry about it the last 6 months I've noticed a tingle and slight pain t in my penis head I don't know how much of this is stress or actual symptoms.  I also notice that the glands are becoming slightly raised where my penis head attaches to my shaft foreskin.  the discomfort is becoming more continual. is there any remedy or something that may slow this process down? I don't have any hard skin that is hard nor are there any sores.  I don't know if that is a normal condition. I can only go off of what I read and see on the Internet

Hey, get a different doctor. Is this person a urologist? Usually there is a treatment for BXO in it's earlier stages, or even stages where the flare ups are not terrible. It usually consists of a topical steroid regimen followed by betamethasone to reduce or avoid scaring all together. If you acutually have BXO, this can get progressively worse with out any type of treatment.
