In 1990 my wife had her left kidney removed,
renalAcute kidney failure
Addison’s disease
Adrenal gland biopsy
Adrenalectomy
Cancer - renal pelvis or ureter
Catecholamines - blood
Chronic renal failure
Dialysis
End-stage kidney disease
Kidney diet - dialysis patients
Kidney stones carcinoma.
For the last year or so, the back area where the left kidney is has gradually increased in pain to the point now where she is taking 8-10 aspririn a day just to get through the day.
Since 1990 she's had CT's and MRI's once to
twiceTwice-a-day a year. The last one, a couple weeks ago, does not indicate any abnormalties in the kidney area.
What could be causing this pain?
Thank you, Walter

Dear Walter
Thanks for your questions.
Multiple diagnosis can be guessed at over the internet, from musculoskeletal to
metastaticMetastatic brain tumor
Metastatic cancer to the lung renalAcute kidney failure
Addison’s disease
Adrenal gland biopsy
Adrenalectomy
Cancer - renal pelvis or ureter
Catecholamines - blood
Chronic renal failure
Dialysis
End-stage kidney disease
Kidney diet - dialysis patients
Kidney stones cell carcinoma to the spine. I would encourage you to continue to work with your doctors to cull down the list. Once the ominous diagnoses have been ruled out, possibly a referral to an anesthesia pain clinic for symptomatic treatment will be beneficial. Good Luck.
