Need your advised, somewhat confused. After a psaPsa Psa blood test test from my primaryPrimary amyloidosis Primary biliary cirrhosis Primary hyperparathyroidism Primary insomnia Primary lymphoma of the brain physican revealed a 4.3, I was referred to a
uroligist. After performing a dignital he quoted there was no problem but instructed me to get another psaPsa Psa blood test test. This
time he stated it revealed a .11. Performing a second dignital he was confused since it showed no problem. He also
stated my prostate was very much enlarge and scheduled a biopsy. Meanwhile, my primaryPrimary amyloidosis Primary biliary cirrhosis Primary hyperparathyroidism Primary insomnia Primary lymphoma of the brain doctor could not understand why another psaPsa Psa blood test test was done before the biopsy and ordered one on me. This time the psaPsa Psa blood test showed a
3.2. After speaking to the urolist as to this he told me this was my call. Since my dad died from prostate cancer,
I decided to go thru with the biopsy. Several weeks later, recieved call from my uroligist office. Since my doctor was
on vacation, one of his associates called and said the results were in and there were no signs of cancer. Several weeks later on a follow up with my uroligist he now says theire was no sign of cancer but there was a abnormal area
and in 4 weeks would like another psa test done. The latest results showed a 3.6 and the doctor advises me to get
another biopsy. I not sure why he wants this 2nd biopsy since originally said if my psa came back under 4.0
he would just monitor with dignital and psa counts. When I confronted him with this, his reply was numbers mean
nothing when you have an abnormality.
