Bladder Spasms

I am suffering from bladder spams after drinking alcohol.  I take the over the counter bladder medication before and while I am drinking alcohol.  Is there long term negative effects if I continue to drink alcohol?  Will it somehow damage my bladder if the spasms continue?

Watch to see if any other things cause the bladder spasms as well, tomatoes,
cranberry juice etc.?

Do you ever get them after intercourse etc. either?

These can be very important questions to help solve the reason for you bladder spasms.
I also suffer from these but I have interstitial cystitis.  There are many other things that can cause them so it is a good idea to see a uro and have them check it out!  If you need more info down the road on IC please feel free to contact me and send me a message!

Hi,
You might be suffering from bladder stones or stones in the urinary tract if you suffer from spasmodic pains after consuming alcohol. I’ll suggest getting an ultrasound of the urinary tract done and I hope that’ll help in making clear if the spasmodic pains are due to the stones. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
