Bleeding Penis

by Tanned, Nov 27, 2006 12:00AM
During agressive sex I sometimes have bleeding (free flowing blood).  Subseqently the clotting causes a blockage that is difficult to pass.  I have seen a urologist, been scoped, CT scan, etc. with no diagnosis other than a possible irritated prostate because we can't find any other cause.  I drink alcohol a good bit daily and use 1/2 cialis before sex.  The erection is quite rigid and prolonged (thanks to cialis). The bleeding is not related to actual ejaculation because I may not at the time. There are no other symptoms. I take high BP medicine, am diabetic (type 2)  Any ideas ?

You have had a comprehensive evaluation for your symptoms.

By "scoped" I assume this was a cystoscopy.  If not, this should be done to rule out bladder cancer.

A transrectal ultrasound can be considered to further image the prostate.  If the tests continue to be non-revealing, serial monitoring of the urine (via a urinalysis) can be considered to see if the bleeding is still continuing.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
