Urethral stricture polyp and prostate enlargement or masses are all possible causes.
A rectal exam to evaluate the prostate should be performed. Imaging with a transrectal ultrasound can be considered for a more comprehensive evaluation.
If negative, a cystoscopy can be considered to look for any urethral strictures or polyps.
These options can be discussed with a urologist.
