**Blood from Penis during friciton?

by Ryan91, May 21, 2004 12:00AM
I'm a 23-year-old male in good physical condition.  My question is when my girlfriend and I are just playing around, by that I mean she’s on top of me rubbing her pelvis against my penis, when were done I have blood coming from the tip of my penis.  I never ejaculated, and there wasn't any blood in my urine when I went right after.  What is the cause of this?  The doctor at my local walk in clinic said that it could be because the opening on my penis is rather large, so it gets opened with friction and becomes inflamed.  Does this sound right?  What can be done?
Thank you.

That scenario you described is possible.  I would also ensure there is no blood in the urine nor ejaculate.  A urinalysis would be something to consider.  If positive, I would also test for infectious causes - like a UTI, gonorrhea or chlamydia.  If it has been determined that there is blood in the urine, an IVP or cystoscopy can be considered in conjunction with the urologist.
