Blood in urine for a while...Is this serious?

I've been testing positive for blood in the urine for a while now (about 4-6 months). I ended up in the ER for sever pain on my right side two weeks ago and had a CT scan done. Now I'm seeing a Urologist who wants to run more tests-a cystoscopy and another CT scan with and without IV. Is this serious?

I get bad urinary tract infections time to time...pee blood....like peeing razor blades....i always have AZO  on hand...over the counter to numb the urinary tract til antibiotics kick in....even have them on hand as my doc knows i know when i get one.   Better to check all out...i did with a urologist as well and the cystocope was very doable.  I was more worried about that and was done in no time.  <3
