It is possible that the blood in the urine may be from the prostate procedure. The length of the bleeding post-op can vary from patient to patient.
However, if the bleeding persists (i.e. several weeks), or intensifies, going back to the urologist should be considered. The bleeding can be indicative of bladder pathology - and a cystoscopy can be considered for a more thorough lwoer GY evaluation.
