Blood in urine

Six months ago I had a TURP due having problems with urination. I was then diagnosed with prostate cancer. Stage: T1aNOMO. Gleason score: 3. PSA: 1.7 after the TURP. I am not sure what my PSA was prior to the TURP.It was recommended that I should have Brachytherapy of the prostate which was done 14 weeks ago. My prostate volume was then 23.3cc. (I did not have harmone therapy) My concern is that I still have traces of blood in my urine about every day. Is this normal, is this from the radiation, or is it from the TURP? I did not see any trace of blood in my urine 2 weeks prior to the Brachytherapy. If this is normal, when will the bleeding stop. I do not have any pain other then a slight burning at the end when I urinate. My stream is strong. The lab tested a urine sample a month ago and I do not have any infection. Your coments will be grately appreciated.

It is possible that the blood in the urine may be from the prostate procedure. The length of the bleeding post-op can vary from patient to patient.
However, if the bleeding persists (i.e. several weeks), or intensifies, going back to the urologist should be considered. The bleeding can be indicative of bladder pathology - and a cystoscopy can be considered for a more thorough lwoer GY evaluation.
This can be discussed with your personal physician or urologist.
Followup with your personal physician is essential.
