Blood pockets on scrotum

by aaron1951, Jan 17, 2006 12:00AM
I have these tiny dark red spots on my scrotum. There are many of them all over the scrotum. They appear to be located on small blood vessels.  There is no pain associated with them, the only problem is when i take a shower and am washing they bust and bleed.  Can u tell me what this is , the cause and cure.

Can't say for sure without examination.

You can consider various types of blood lesions stemming from blood disorders or platelet disorders (i.e. petechiae).

Infection is possible, but the symptoms that you have mentioned are not common for many genitourinary conditions (i.e. epididymitis, prostatitis etc.).

You can consider a blood count as well as coagulation studies to ensure there is no bleeding disorder present.

Regardless, I would consider a urologist consult to further evaluate your symptoms.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
