Bulging of a Vein in the Penis

Plz help me I am new to this community. I have a question about the dorsal vein of the penis. I can see a large and cord like vein that i believe is the dorsal vein on my penis which is in the centre and runs through the entir penis. I can see and feel the vein from outer skin as well. When my foreskin is pulled down the Dorsal vein on my penis gets is big in size, bulging and curls. I can easily touch and move it around and when I am erect it is very noticeable as I now have a large U shaped vein on my penis just below the head. When the foreskin is back pulled up the vein is felt from outside and runs till the head of the penis It doesn't hurt and I always had it but I would like to know what is going on with it.
Thanks for any comments

I have something very similar, which is visible when both hard and soft. When soft it becomes more prominent when in high temperatures etc. My concern is that this could be the start of a penile varicose vein, which could ultimately impact on my quality of life.

So I'm very curious to know how things are for you now and / or any advice on how to treat it etc

Thanks in advance,

Hi Doctor.

I am fine.... Even during non erection time this vein which is right in the middle of the penis a dorsal vein i guess is always bulgy and enlarged in size....and this problem is visible in the inner portion of the penis when the foreskin is been pulled down fully....there is absolutely no pain from that side....its very soft when touched....My only worry is will this problem may cause an internal problem in my body....
Thanx

Hi,
How are you? Enlarged dorsal vein in the penis when erect is absolutely normal. During erection all the vessels in the penis enlarge to accumulate blood in the organ and increase it’s size. In case you are experiencing any other symptoms like erection problems, rash, pimples etc then proper workup needs to be done by a urologist.
Do let us know if you any more queries on this.
Best.
