Burning sensation

Hi,

I am a male, 28yrs old and two weeks ago, i felt a burning sesnsation after peeing.
I went to the doctors, tested for UTI - negative, Clymedia Negtive and than they did swab test etc and all negative.
They gave me doxycycllin, which is okk but the problem is not really gone and this is the 3rd week going.
I dont have any problems while peeing or anything but after peeing i have a burning sesnsation on the uretha. There is no discharge etc and the same happens after sex.

Any idea if someone can please help or what could be the problem.

Thanks alot

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
One of the possibilities for your symptoms is irritation caused by the cloth or soap that you use. Wear cotton clothes and use mild soap like Dove. The other possibility is of urethritis. Common causes of urethritis in young men tend to be sexually transmitted infections such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, and ureaplasma. However, there are other causes of urethritis, including rheumatologic diseases (e.g. Reiter`s syndrome), the presence of foreign bodies in the urethra (e.g. urinary catheters) or irritation from chemicals can cause some pain with urination (e.g. alcohol). Urethritis can cause painful urination.

You should consult your doctor to rule out the above causes and find out the further management plan in your case. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
