Can forceful coughing cause blood in urine?

I got sick 6 days ago with a fever, body aches and cough.  I am well now but the cough still lives on...its quite severe at times.  I will suddenly get a tickle in my throat and I basically cough until I end up gagging.  Anyways, last night I noticed that my urine had a slight pink color.  Could the forceful coughing cause that?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Forceful coughing will not cause blood in urine. Hematuria or blood in the urine can be caused by bleeding from anywhere along the urinary tract. The most common cause is an infection because of the inflammation in the urinary tract. So it is an important possibility. Urinary stones can cause abrasion and irritation resulting in hematuria. Other possible cause is a kidney condition called glomerulonephritis. I would suggest that you consult your Doctor so further investigation can be done.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Also to add to it...the whole family(husband and two kids) all got sick within days of one another with the same symptoms minus the pinkish urine.
