Catheter

by mgregg12, Nov 07, 2009 12:32PM
My brother is 62 yrs old and has had a catheter in since March 28, 2009 when he contracted a major stap infection. He was in bed with a catheter for 4 months before they tried to remove it. This they did and he could not urinate so it was replaced. Now he has had catheter for 6 months and they are no longer talking about removing it.  Will he have to be on a catheter the rest of his life or can it be removed? Can he get some type of medicine to restart normal urination?
