Kidney stones typically cause pain when they are passed from the kidney to the
ureterCancer - renal pelvis or ureter
Reflux nephropathy
Ureterocele
Vesicoureteral reflux. However, it is also possible that your continuing presence of stones is also causing discomfort.
Please note that I am not familiar with your case. However, there should be no reason what a physician should disbelieve your pain, especially since you have documented kidney stones. I would suggest obtaining the opinion of another physician if your current physicians are not appropriately treating your pain.
