Circumcision side effects
I recently read that one of the side effects of circumcision is meatal stenosis and that uncircumcised men don't suffer from it. Is that correct? Also, would this side effect occur if a male had a frenoplasty? Do any of the other side effects of circumcision apply to a frenoplasty?

How are you? Circumcision is the surgical removal of some or all of the foreskin (prepuce) from the penis. Benefits of circumcision are less chances of infection, STD.
Minor complications after circumcision are bleeding and infection. Meatal stenosis ( a narrowing of the urethral opening) may be a longer-term complication of circumcision.
Meatal stenosis can lead to discomfort with urination, incontinence, bleeding after urination and UTI. Circumcisions may remove too much or too little skin. If insufficient skin is removed, the patient may develop pathological phimosis in later life. Other complications include concealed penis, urinary fistulas, chordee, cysts, lymphedema, ulceration of the glans, necrosis of all or part of the penis, hypospadias, epispadias and impotence.
Frenuloplasty is the surgical alteration of a frenulum when its presence restricts range of motion between interconnected tissues.The most common sites where frenuloplasty is taken up are penis and tongue.
A short frenulum of the penis restricts normal retraction of the foreskin during erection (a condition known as frenulum breve). This may be a complication of circumcision or a naturally occurring event. The goal of treatment is to allow normal retraction of the foreskin. Circumcision may relieve this condition but is not indicated solely for treating frenulum breve. So, in case frenulum breve is treated by circumcision, then there is a possibility of the above mentioned complications, but not always.
