Colorless string-like vein under the skin of penis shaft

Just noticed an abnormal vein under the skin of the penile shaft. After some googling, I found that it could be a thrombosed lymphatic vein. It is painless, but is clearly visible whether it is erect or not, from the base of the shaft to about midway through.
However, I also have a cyst-like bump nearer the head of my penis. It has been there for many years. I saw a urologist once, and he suggested it was just a clot of oil underneath the skin. It has remained relatively harmless, but has grown slightly. Could these two things be related? Is there anything I can do to possibly help both the bump and the vein?
