Constant urination

I'm a 22 year old man. For the last couple of weeks I have constantly felt like I have to urinate. I have also noticed an enlarged vein (?) on the left side of my penis. I have no idea what's going on or what's caused this. The week before I did do lots of heavy lifting which I'm told could have caused this (I've had to do more since) and I am also sexually active (always with the same partner. We were very active the week before it began). I had it checked out at my University's Health Center and they told me I didn't have an infection or STD of any kind. I've been taking aleve and antibiotics. Periodically it seems to go away for a few short days and then return.
I'm extremely puzzled and worried about this. I have an appointment with a Urologist in 2 weeks but I just want to make sure this isn't something serious. Thanks.

Infection and diabetes would be the more common diseases that can lead to frequent urination. An enlargement of the prostate (which can be caused by infection) is also possible.
In addition to the urinalysis, you can consider blood tests for diabetes as well as a digital rectal exam looking for prostatitis.
These options can be discussed with your urology referral.
Followup with your personal physician is essential.
