I'm sure this has already been considered - but ensure that a
cystoscopy as well as thorough evaluation of the prostate was considered (preferably with imaging, such as a transrectal ultrasound or an MRI).
If negative, you can consider looking for
interstitialInterstitial cystitis (ic)
Interstitial cystitis - resources
Interstitial nephritis cystitis - which also may
leadLead poisoning to your symptoms. A potassium sensitivity test can be done to evaluate for this possibility.
It may be possible that the symptoms can be caused from complications leading from the stent.
I would consider another urological opinion - preferably at a major academic medical center.
