Would you please describe the possible effects of Pamelor (Nortriptyline) on Bladder/Voiding function?  I've been informed that retention is a possible side-effect, but what is the mechanism causing the retention with the Pamelor?  Can a low dose of Pamelor, i.e. 20mg, cause the bladder dysfunction?  Is Pamelor use not advised with a coexisting Bladder Outlet Obstruction due to an enlargement of the prostate.  Thanks for the reply.
