hi,
I had a hydrocele from my 15th, but only noticed it at the age of 17. it also reacted to temperature, but my doctor said only to operate on it if it was bothering me. Having said this he wanted me to go to a urologist anyways, just to be sure. If I were you I would have it checked out, just like Vanessa Lacuesta advises.
O, by the way, the operation is not that big a deal. I walked out of the hospital after an hour or two. If you are worried about what might be going to happen, feel free to send me a message ok?
Hi,
It would be best to have it evaluated by a urologist. An initial assessment will serve as your baseline. This may not sound urgent in the absence of urinary symptoms ( pain in urination, frequent urination ) and scrotal pain, redness or abrupt swelling.
You may do a self testicular examination to note any changes in the structures within the scrotum.A scrotal ultrasound may be able to help.
