Enlarged testicle

  My husband, 33 year old white male, has a slightly enlarged right testicle.  He had not noticed a difference in its size until recently.  He has no pain or other symptoms.  Is this "normal"?

Testes are usually approximately equal in size. If there is a change in this relationship, then further evaluation is needed. There may be shrinkage in one testis to account for the change. The greatest concern, however, is a testis tumor which can cause a size increase even though no specific mass can be readily felt upon examination.
Your husband needs to be seen by a urologist as soon as possible (this week) to be evaluated. If there is a testis tumor it can usually be treated quite successfully but time is a factor.
